You are going to create a brochure to explain to the general public one of the problems humanity is facing now a days. The problem you select to write about must be specific of a certain region of the world and happening now.  Ex: the pollution in the Amazon’s river or the extinction of polar’ s bears, etc….

It have to be a tree fold brochure with pictures.  Need to write:

A.  one paragraph stating and specifying what is the problem ( minimum 4 sentences ) Use present, present progressive

B.  one paragraph explaining the causes of that problem ( minimum 5 sentences) Use preterit, present or present progressive

C.  one paragraph explaining what you, as a one person, can, or could, or will do ( minimum 4 sentences) Use conditional and future tenses

D.  one paragraph stating what we all can do to solve the problem (minimum 5 sentences) Use conditional, subjunctive and future.

Attentive to the grammar and tenses, I’ll take points off

no translators allow, remember you risk to get a 0, you know I can find it out

El fantasma en mi casa

 

 Due date: Oct 29 - Nov 3   ///////   Value: Oral project grade 

Topic: Talk about the phantom that lives in your house, never tell the name of the person, your classmates have to discover who he/she is. So, your phantom have to real and well known person alive or dead.

  1. State the physical and psychological traits of the phantom you see and how he/she is dressed: (use present)

  2. Tell what was the profession or professions this person has had and what used to do when he/she was alive ( use preterit, imperfect)

  3. Explain how was life back then and describe the place where the person used to live (use preterit, imperfect or present perfect)

  4. Tell good things this person has done in his/her life and explain in detail ( use preterit, imperfect and past perfect)

  5. Tell bad things this person has done in his/her life and explain in detail ( use preterit, imperfect and past perfect)

  1. Now, in this part you need to be inventive, explain why the phantom is in your house and what he/she is going to do next ( use ir a) and what he/she is planning to do in the future (use future). Relate that to the future of your school, country, century, etc…

7. Ask everybody in class who they think this person is.

Written presentation: present the topic in a narrative format. Use a folder and a minimum of 5 complete sentences for each point (point 6 at least 8, point 7 one—the question). You are welcome to type or use a computer. Do not use translator; if you do, you have to memorize the whole presentation. Remember that using tranlators is cheating yourself.
